Ventilation of fire gases in a stairwell
In an experimental investigation the effects of fire gas ventilation of a four-storey stairwell were studied. The ventilation was performed through an opening in the top and a door opening at the bottom of the stairwell, after a fire duration of 10 minutes. In the experiments were mesured gas temperature, visibility and fire gas concentrations in the stairwell and the burning rate in the fire room.
In the report are given most of the mesured results and some comments on the positive and negative effects of the ventilation.
