Innovative Electrical Systems in Buildings – Consequences for Fire Safety
The electrical environment in buildings, especially residential buildings, is changing rapidly. One example is the local generation of electricity with solar power becoming more and more popular. Such electricity production also generates changes in other parts of the buildings’ electrical infrastructure, such as DC-networks and in some cases storage of electrical energy in batteries. What consequences does this development have for the fire safety in our buildings?
