The electrical environment of our buildings including our homes is changing. One example is local electricity production, where photovoltaic installations are becoming increasingly popular. Such electricity generation also entails changes in other parts of the electrical infrastructure of buildings, such as DC networks and, in some cases, energy storage in battery systems.
