Bio-based building materials – a knowledge overview of fire performance
Within the construction industry, several efforts are underway to reduce climate impact in various ways when constructing new buildings as well as during renovations, and several incentives have been established to consider and influence carbon dioxide impact, such as requirements for climate declarations and the EU taxonomy. In addition to regulatory requirements, several market players have set their own, internal, requirements where the players relate to climate impact in different ways. As an example of this, one can look at the sustainability goals of Castellum and Skanska. Corresponding goals, to reduce climate impact, exist among several players in the construction industry.
